It’s what we do

Your wedding - from the beginning...

Getting ready

The Moat House is our newest addition to the barns. The Dressing Room is what it says on the tin, you get dressed in here. Bring along your hairdresser, masseuse, manicurist, face painter, and photographer, or if you don’t fancy that…. just your closest friends/family. Kick back and enjoy your day in the spotlight, along with a scrummy breakfast, elevenses, a glass or two of bubbles and the undivided attention of everyone around you.

The Moat House opens from 8.00 am to give you plenty of time to shower, get your face done, your nails buffed, hair styled and enough time for the glamour shots.

Getting together

The Heritage barn is where all your F & F’s get to catch up with each other before the marriage ceremony

There is plenty of help at hand to assist with last minute panics and nerves. The bar is open, there are snacks available and plenty of people arriving to listen to last minute speech practice and rehearsal of vows.

The Heritage Barn opens from 11.00 am for guests who are in need of refreshment before they check into their rooms. Or, it is a great place for early guests to sit back, chat to friends and family. Or just sit in the Garden with a long cool drink.

Party, Buffet & Bands

Whilst you and your guests are enjoying your after dinner coffee, in the Heritage Barn, we are sneakily rearranging the Tithe Barn for your evening party.

When all is in position and the tables have been cleared and rearranged, and lights dimmed, it’s time for you to take the spotlight once again for your first dance as a married couple!

We offer loads of different options for your evening feast, the majority completely included in the price. So whether you opt for a Hog roast, a BBQ, Mexican, Indian, Spanish or even a Finger buffet, you can be sure that your evening guests will be as well fed as the guests that have been with you all day.

Our in house DJ will have a list of your music choices and so you can dance to all your faves right through until bedtime.

The master bedroom & sitting room

The Master Bedroom and sitting room are part of our fantastic Moat House. You will possibly have experienced the lovely dressing room this morning at the start of your day. The best is yet to come…

Lets start with the Sitting Room. It is a colourful and contemporary room filled with all your home comforts plus some lovely extras. If you can’t bear to finish your day you can invite your closest family to come back and join you for a late night coffee and chat.

Right OK, it’s time to throw out the hangers on-ers.

Upstairs in the Master Bedroom there is a lovely comfy sleigh bed and a deep cast iron double ended, freestanding bath, where you can soak your tired bones. Your Duty Manager will have popped up just before the end of your evening to deliver some nibbles and bubbles for you to lie back, close your eyes and enjoy. Just don’t let the others know, or they won’t leave!
