Wedding Venue In Kent - FAQs
Can we hold both our ceremony and reception here?
Yes. Everything happens on one site, so nobody needs to travel during the day. You get ready in the Moat House and marry at the Pavilion or in the Fathom Barn. Drinks are in the Heritage Barn, the wedding breakfast is in the Tithe Barn, and then the evening celebration begins. You end the night in your Master Suite.
What happens if it rains?
The Fathom Barn is our indoor ceremony space, and it’s just as lovely as the Pavilion. You and your coordinator make the call together on the morning of your wedding, and nothing else about the day changes.
Do we have exclusive use?
Yes. We only host one wedding a day, so your wedding day is yours alone. The previous day’s couple and their guests check out by 11am on your wedding morning, before your celebration begins. Our 15 guest bedrooms are reserved for your guests if you book them. Reserving all 15 for £2,250 keeps the whole site for your group.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. Our barns and ceremony spaces are step-free, and we have an accessible toilet, accessible parking and an accessible guest bedroom. Please tell us about any access needs, and we’ll plan the day around them.
Is there parking?
Yes. Free parking is available on site for all your guests, and coaches and minibuses can get into our car park. Cars can stay overnight at the owner’s risk, and must be collected by 11am the next morning. There’s no bus service to the venue, so guests coming by train should pre-book a taxi.
Where do we get ready?
In the Moat House. Your private dressing room is yours from 8am, with a buffet breakfast and a glass of bubbly for up to six people, plus gowns, towels and toiletries. A second dressing room opens at 11:30am. Twilight couples have both rooms from noon.
