Guest Accommodation
If your guests are travelling from afar you may want to offer them a nice comfy bed for the night and a delicious breakfast to send them on their way in the morning. We have 15 bedrooms available - which include 4 family rooms. 6 Double rooms 4 twin or double rooms and 1 deluxe room. All bedrooms have en-suites, wifi, tea and coffee making facilities, gowns, slippers and lovely l’occitane toiletries.
Double rooms
The double rooms have a king size bed are upstairs, have exposed beams and high ceilings.
Family rooms
The family rooms have a king size bed and 2 drop down bunks which are suitable for under 12’s.
Twin/King rooms
The Twin/ Double rooms are exactly as described and can be used as either. One of these rooms has disabled facilities.
Deluxe room
The deluxe room is a larger room on the upper level and includes a sitting area and a Jacuzzi bath and a larger shower.
Nearby Accommodation
We think our onsite rooms are pretty fabulous, and it’s great to share breakfast and catch up about your day the following morning with your nearest and dearest.
Unfortunately we do not have enough rooms for everyone, so here are some suggestions for other local accommodations - our favourites are the newly refurbished Six Bells Pub & the thoughtful Orchard Cottage Bed & Breakfast.
Other Information
Room Prices
Prices are per room per night and breakfast is included in the room price. Double, Twin and Family Rooms are from £130.00 per room per night, the deluxe room is from £180.00 per night.
Check-in and check-out times
Check in any time from 1.00 p.m on day of arrival. If arrival is expected after 5.00 p.m guests should notify Cooling Castle Barn that they will be arriving late.
Rooms should be vacated no later than 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure. Failure to do so will incur late stay charges.
Facilities
The Stables operates as a Bed & Breakfast primarily for our wedding guests. Our refreshment and lounging facilities are available from the time you arrive until breakfast the following day. There is a snack menu available and the bar will be open from the time you arrive at the premises.
If you are arriving on a day that you are not attending a function, we are unable to offer refreshment facilities other than the tea and coffee in your room and breakfast the following morning. There are no additional general lounging areas.
Breakfast
A full English Breakfast is included in the cost of the room and is served in the Heritage Barn between 8.30 a.m and 9.30 a.m. Breakfast is complementary for children staying in family rooms.
Cancellation
Cancellations should be made direct with our reservations office. No refunds are available within 30 days of the booking.
Family rooms
There are four family rooms that offer accommodation for two adults and up to two children aged 14 and under (and a child under two years in a travel cot), or a maximum of two adults. There is no additional charge for children staying in family rooms. Unauthorised or unregistered guests will be charged to the credit/debit card of the registered occupier.
Disabled facilities
We have one bedroom that will facilitate guests with disabilities - please contact the office to ensure this room is available if you need it. Alternatively, ground floor bedrooms will provide easier access for guests who have difficulty walking.
Smoking
We have a no smoking policy in all bedrooms.
Dogs
With exception to guide / assistant dogs, no pets are allowed.
Damage/ Theft
In the event of malicious, wilful, negligent room damage, or theft of property, Cooling Castle Barn will charge the amount of any loss sustained, repair of damage, contract cleaning deemed necessary and any claims subsequently made against us (together with our own and the other party's full legal costs) to the credit/debit card of the registered customer. If in our reasonable opinion any member of the party behaves in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to the property we are entitled to, without prior notice, to terminate our agreement and the person(s) concerned will be required to leave the property. No refunds will be made and we will not pay any travel expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.
